Marc moved to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in 1973 where he and his wife,
Cristie, own and still operate a seaside inn called the Blue Seas Courtyard.
Imagine living right along the ocean and having the most accessible first
reef in all of South Florida right outside your front door !
It was inevitable that Marc would soon be drawn into this underwater wonderland
which, over the decades, has grown into a lifelong passion for photographing
and video taping the subjects of his diving adventures.
Marc also served as a Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Town Commissioner (2000-2004) and
has become well-known as a local "preservationist". He continually endeavors to
educate the community about the importance of protecting not only the local reefs but
the fragile reef systems worldwide. His hope is that if people can actually see, through
his underwater images, the delightful creatures who live beneath the waves it might
help inspire greater concern and care for these threatened ecosystems.
We hope that you will enjoy meeting the diversity of aquatic life that Marc offers
through his amazing images and that each person's awareness will help lead all of us
to a greater appreciation of the need to protect and preserve our precious and very
fragile underwater worlds.
